Man…this is one of those stories that just makes you shake your head.
Maren Morris is out on the road right now with her Dreamsicle Tour, and she shared that during a meet and greet in Grand Rapids, somebody crossed a line. She said on Instagram…
Listen, if you’ve ever been to a meet and greet, you know how special those moments are. Fans pay extra for that VIP time and for the artist, it’s about connecting, talking, taking pictures, and making memories.
What I love about Maren though is she’s not letting one person ruin it for everybody else. She said she’s going to keep doing meet and greets because most fans are awesome and respectful and she’s right. 99% of people just want to say hi and give a hug. Artists are people too. They give so much of themselves to fans and respecting their boundaries is part of that exchange.
Maren didn’t call out the person who did it and honestly she shouldn’t have to. The message is clear enough…be kind, be respectful, and enjoy the music without crossing a line. Meet and greets should be about smiles, not stories like this.
