A man who admitted his role in a massive gold and cash heist from Pearson Airport has been sentenced to four years in prison. According to court documents, the 44-year-old was sentenced Wednesday and also given 40 years to pay back $22 million in restitution. Multiple suspects have been arrested in what police have called the largest gold heist in Canadian history. Two others are being sought, including a former Air Canada employee. The Ontario judge presiding over Frank Stronach's sexual assault case says she hopes to have a ruling ready when her case returns mid-June. He pleaded not guilty to 12 charges originally, but now only faces five charges by the Crown. New jobs data is due out today, with economists forecasting a bump to the Canadian economy. According to a Reuters poll, about 15,000 jobs were added last month. And there's a new Canadian social media website that proclaims its goal is to provide Canadians a place to communicate and connect without the big tech algorithms. The co-founder of NorthSocial.ca, Colin Schmidt, said the biggest challenge is building a viable user base.
