Well, it could be a great weekend to cozy up with a hot chocolate and maybe a snow blower. We're under a snow squall warning and it's going to be really cold. Environment Canada issued a snow squall warning. Areas affected include Newmarket Aurora with up to 15 centimeters of snow tonight. Now visibility will suddenly be reduced to 0. Traveling conditions will be hazardous. You're being asked to consider postponing non-essential travel and outdoor activities until conditions improve. But it's also going to be one of the coldest days and nights of the year as a massive blast of Arctic air spreads across the province and other parts of Canada. Environment Canada said overnight tonight, it could feel in the mid minus 30s. The coldest it's been since January 2019. Daytime temperatures won't offer much relief. By Monday, it does warm up a bit, but by Sunday, we can get nailed with more snow. Now be thankful you live here. Areas of northern Ontario and all of Manitoba have it so much worse. Their wind chills feeling between minus 45 and minus 50. Police in York Region looking for the public's help in identifying 3 people believed to have been involved in a home invasion in King Township. Police say suspects forcibly entered a home near King and Mill Road Thursday. Investigators say the homeowner confronted the suspects and was threatened with a firearm. The suspects eventually fled. Anybody with information is asked to come forward. Hot Country Sports NHL last night, all Canadian teams on the ice lost, including the Canadians, Winnipeg, Ottawa, and Edmonton.
