I'm Stacey Engelhart. still smells burning outside. Smoke from forest fires continues to prompt an official air quality warning from Environment Canada. Now the air quality will improve in York Region and the GTA, but not quite yet. Winds are expected to shift as smoke will now head towards northern Ontario. As wildfires continue to burn, officials say 180 are active and they need government intervention. Leaders of First Nations devastated by wildfires, meanwhile, say they were left to fend for themselves, accusing the government of doing nothing. Collins First Nations said their community was destroyed without any warning or assistance from any ministry. Leaders of White Sands First Nations say they evacuated despite being told by the province to stay put because there was no threat from the fire. Teamsters Trade Union, meanwhile, calling on CN Rail to stop operating through active wildfires. It comes after crew had to evacuate from a train engulfed in fire. They were treated for smoke inhalation. Teamsters are accusing CN of knowingly sending rail workers into the fire. Hot country sports, Major League Soccer yesterday. Toronto and Montreal tied at 0. Vancouver and Chicago had to postpone the game because of poor air quality. Hamilton Forge had to postpone their Canadian Premier League soccer game because of poor air quality.
