Looks like the heat in southern Ontario will last through to at least tomorrow. Environment Canada said temperatures stretching from Windsor through to Ottawa, including York Region and the GTA, could feel close to 40 again today and tomorrow. The department said the low 20s will provide little relief. You're being asked to watch for signs of heat stroke like dizziness, nausea and fatigue. close to 50,000 people in southern Ontario still have no power. Tens of thousands across Ontario and Quebec have had no AC or lights after severe thunderstorms Canada Day brought down trees and flooded homes. Environment Canada said heat warnings are now stretching into New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI. Police have identified the Ottawa man believed to have murdered his two sons before taking his life. The boys, ages 7 and 12, were found dead in a home in the south end of the city. Investigators say they found the 40-year-old dead inside a vehicle. So where did the system fail? Well, apparently the man had threatened to harm his ex-wife and those around her in the past. And during divorce proceedings, the judge said he didn't believe the threats would cause any harm and the man could still see his children because he was, quote, a good dad. Hot country sports.
