Striking Canada Post workers are switching up tactics, as their labour dispute rolls on.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers says instead of a countrywide strike, they will begin rotating strikes -- starting Saturday morning.
The move is intended to get mail and parcels moving once again -- and comes after the union met with the federal minister responsible for Canada Post.
The two sides have been far apart in contract talks for some time now, and proposed changes to the postal service's mandate and overhauling its operations were seen by the union as a step in the wrong direction.

Toronto Police say two people have been charged for flying drones over Rogers Centre during Blue Jays games.
Investigators say the drones were dispatched during the Jays' post-season baseball games and the charges were laid under Canadian Aviation Regulations.
Police say specialized drone detection technology spotted the devices and intercepted three unauthorized drone flights over the stadium during the games on Saturday and Sunday.
The Rogers Centre drone policy says the stadium is within the nearby Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport's no-fly zone.

York Regional Police say a 23-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man was killed in an unprovoked attack outside his home.
Investigators say the 54-year-old victim was outside his residence in Richmond Hill on Wednesday evening, when he was attacked "without provocation" and later died in hospital.
Police say the suspect was arrested near the scene and charged with second-degree murder.
The suspect has also been charged with breach of probation.

The union representing about 10,000 part-time support workers at Ontario's public colleges will hold a strike vote next week amid an ongoing strike by full-time support staff.
The Ontario Public Service Employees Union says part-time workers at the 24 colleges have been working under an expired collective agreement since January 2024.
OPSEU says the part-time workers' demands include paid sick days, cancelled shift pay for all workers and wage increases.
The College Employer Council says it has offered wage increases of two per cent per year, six per cent vacation pay and two paid sick days per year, among other things, and a mediation date is set for December.
