York Regional Police has officially joined the growing list of Ontario law enforcement agencies that are suspending their partnerships with Crime Stoppers after a massive nationwide data breach. Toronto temporarily stopped accepting tips. Other forces included Halton, Wellington, Hamilton and Peel. According to the CBC, 1.5 million tips submitted to Crime Stoppers programs over the last 25 years were exposed in a massive data breach.
