Commuters having a rough go this morning on the 401 through the GTA. Both east and westbound traffic is affected. We have details in traffic. York Police investigating shots fired at a Newmarket home last night. Police were called at about 8 o'clock and believe a house near Bathurst and Davis was targeted. Area residents are advised there will be increased police presence. York Police need your help to identify at least three suspects in a home invasion in Vaughan. Police say suspects forced their way into a home Thursday at 2.30 in the morning near Martin Grove and Jackman Crescent. One suspect was armed with a hatchet. The incident is believed to have been targeted. York Police say a person has died, four others sent to hospital after a collision in East Gwillimbury. Police say three people suffered life-threatening injuries. The condition of the fourth person is serious but non-life-threatening. Police appealing to witnesses. And while Canadians continue to struggle under the weight of high housing costs, the Bank of Canada is widely expected to keep its benchmark interest rate unchanged later this week. The central bank will also give an update on the status of fiscal policy when the federal government tables its spring economic statement tomorrow. Hot country sports baseball yesterday.
