The rabbis of two synagogues in the GTA say their Hanukkah celebrations will continue as planned after a deadly mass shooting in Australia. At least 15 people were killed, 38 injured at an event just outside of Sydney when two gunmen opened fire. Authorities revealed it was a father and son, with the elder amassing 6 guns legally over the past 10 years. All homes in King Township seem to be commanding high prices. According to the Toronto Real Estate Board, the average price for a home in King was $3.03 million in November 2025, up almost 40% from October, and up almost 21% from November of last year. Remember that fire late last month at 2 Toronto high-rise buildings? Apparently, it's still burning. The city said the fire is still smoldering with no timeline for residents to return. Fire first broke out November 27th in a piece of combustible particle board in an expansion joint between 2 buildings and has been burning ever since. Hundreds of residents have been displaced. And Mars Canada has installed holiday window displays at Hudson's Bay's flagship store in Toronto after closing its doors earlier this year. The display, called Wonders of Mars, features animatronic elves depicting scenes from A Day in the Life at the confectionery company.
