Unrest erupted after a Mexican army raid apparently killed a cartel leader, prompting roadblocks, car fires, shootouts, and airport closures. Canadian travelers describe having to take cover. Airlines have canceled or diverted dozens of flights. Canadian airports, meanwhile, warning travelers heading into the U.S. to allow for extra time to get through customs. Nexus and Global Entry pre-clearance programs for travelers into the U.S. are suspended. So now more time will be needed to pass through security.
