Environment Canada has issued alerts for many areas. including Newmarket, Georgina, Northern York Region. Now we are under a snow squall watch with snow squalls expected into tomorrow. Upwards of 15 centimeters expected by overnight tonight. Visibility may suddenly be reduced. Roads and walkways could be difficult to navigate. Details coming up in the forecast. Ontario's police watchdog investigating an officer-involved shooting that left both an officer and a suspect wounded in Oshawa. Police said they responded to a mental health call yesterday morning and encountered A 27-year-old with a knife. An OPP constable with 17 years of service facing criminal impaired driving charges while on duty. OPP said their Southern Georgian Bay detachment officers launched an impaired operation investigation January 15th and a 39-year-old constable was charged. Prime Minister Carney spoke about his electric vehicle deal with China as an opportunity for Ontario and auto workers, saying there's interest in Chinese companies producing vehicles in Canada.
