A pilot has died after an incident involving two small aircraft in eastern Ontario.
O-P-P say officers were called to a report that two airplanes collided in South Glengarry just after 11 a-m Saturday. 
They say one plane landed safely while another was found in a wooded area.
A flight school owned and operated both planes involved.
Tragic news out of southern California, where investigators say a Calgary man and his 7-year-old daughter have died after they were swept into the Pacific Ocean. 
According to police, the 39 year old from Calgary with his wife and two young children, when a wave dragged the elder girl into the water.
The parents reached for her and were also swept away.
Only the woman made it back to shore.
Flying to the US will soon be less chaotic.
The U-S Federal Aviation Administration says it's lifting all restrictions on commercial flights as of 6am this morning,  that were imposed during a recent government shutdown.
The F-A-A had limited flights, citing safety concerns from staffing shortages.
Statistics Canada will release its latest reading on inflation this morning.
The annual inflation rate was 2.4 per cent in September, up from 1.9 per cent in August.
The Canadian Real Estate Association says the number of residential properties that changed hands in October was lower compared with a year ago as prices also fell.
There were 42,068 home sales across the country last month, down 4.3 per cent from October 2024.
