Five people arrested after police allege they stole $2 million worth of merchandise from an Amazon warehouse. Police in Durham said the investigation started last month after police started looking into two employees who reportedly stole the merchandise over a two-year span from the warehouse. Three others were later arrested. OPP arrested 20 people, recovered more than 300 vehicles, and what they're calling an organized crime network that spanned across Canada and several countries. Police say Project Chickadee began in August 2023 after police recovered 4 stolen vehicles in the GTA and say freight companies and fraudulent documents were used to ship vehicles to several countries in the Middle East and Africa. Ports in Montreal, Vancouver and Halifax were used. Police say the suspects face 134 charges. Realtors affected by the iPro Realty scandal will finally begin to receive a portion of their frozen commissions, but not the entire amount owed, only half of it. Real estate agents say this is not acceptable. They're owed the full amount, not half of it. A group of about 250 agents planned on sending a letter of concern to Premier Ford. iPro employed about 2,400 agents and operated out of 17 locations, including Woodbridge, Georgetown, Mississauga, Brampton, Orangeville, and Pickering.
