Looks like Canadians think becoming an associate member of the EU is a good thing. A new online poll conducted by Leger this weekend suggests 70% of Canadians support the idea. The poll said Canadians are more likely to support the ties if they offer Canadian businesses better access to European markets. this is a disturbing thought because it usually starts with a prescription from your doctor. But the number of older adults in Ontario living with opioid use disorder has more than doubled since 2017. According to a new study out of Toronto St. Mike's, opioid toxicity death rates have increased substantially over the last 10 years. According to data cited by researchers, There were over 1000 deaths among older adults in 2023-2024 in Ontario, 75% between the ages of 55 and 64. And a federal judge has temporarily blocked the US government's move to ban 3 news outlets from the White House grounds and saying they must have access restored. The outlets argued they were singled out and called Friday's ban a blatant violation of their First Amendment. The temporary restraining order is in effect for two weeks.
