Ontario is bracing for a blast of winter weather this week, with forecasters warning of significant snowfall across the north and lake-effect squalls set to hammer southern regions as November draws to a close.

Premier Doug Ford's government is set to table legislation that would require people accused of a crime and granted bail to provide a cash security deposit up front, rather than paying later if they break their bail conditions.
But the Canadian Civil Liberties Association is criticizing the measure, saying the proposal would create two tiers of justice based on wealth.
Education Minister Paul Calandra says Ontario students' standardized testing results will be made public next week.
This comes after the minister delayed their release, suggesting changes may be coming.

Conservatives are hammering Prime Minister Mark Carney over a remark he made Sunday in South Africa to reporters at the G-20 Summit.
Asked when he last spoke with U-S President Donald Trump, Carney answered "Who cares?" and said he has "no burning issue" to raise, adding Canada will return to trade talks when America wants to come back to the table.
That exchange was a hot topic in Monday's question period in the Commons,
Government House leader Steve MacKinnon later told reporters Carney "of course" cares about Canadian jobs and that negotiations with Washington remain constructive.(1)
Meantime a federal government source has confirmed Carney is considering a trip to Washington next week.
The Ottawa Police Service says two men have been arrested following a brawl over Pokémon cards.
Police were called to the Costco store at around 7:15 a.m. Monday on reports of a fight between several people over a “high-demand item.”
Police confirmed that people were in line for Pokémon cards when the fight broke out. Two people received minor injuries during the fight, police said.
The two accused, whom police did not identify, were charged with assault.
