Gas has gone up another 4 cents this morning to $1.68 a liter. I'm Stacey Engelhart. Parts of the province remained under flood warnings today, according to a government flood map. Notifications from the flood forecasting and warning program covered most regions between Toronto through Greater Sudbury, as well as Sault Ste. Marie into Ottawa. Rainy conditions also led to flood warnings in Quebec, Manitoba, and New Brunswick. Police in Barrie say a man in his 20s was taken to hospital after a workplace incident. Orange Air Ambulance Service said the man was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre being treated for critical injuries related to an industrial accident. The Labour of Ministry was notified. No other details are known. Lawyers and advocacy groups calling on the Ford government to review the system that handles disputes over benefits for people hurt in car crashes. as the success rate for those challenging their insurers plummets. A report commissioned last fall found the success rate for applicants dropped to 8% in 2024, down from 11% in 2023. It was 33% the year before, leaving critics to wonder how neutral is Tribunals Ontario and how many of the hundreds of adjudicators have ties to insurance companies.
