Students at a Markham High School were moved to another location yesterday after a so-called swatting call. According to police, they were called to a school near Baroque and Kennedy at about 7.45 and say the phone call originated from the Los Angeles area. Tragedy at an Ontario high school will see it closed till the end of the week. According to reports, a person critically injured when emergency crews were called to a Wingham high school for reports a person was on fire. Now a student is in critical condition after being airlifted to hospital. Anybody with video footage related to the incident is requested not to distribute it. Premier Ford's government proposing new housing legislation. It would see Ontario municipalities no longer require developers. Factor in certain green initiatives beyond what's needed for health and safety or the building code. A spokesperson said making the standards voluntary will help lower costs to build projects. And there's apparently been a ceasefire in the Middle East. Iran, the U.S. and Israel say they've reached a deal for a two-week ceasefire. Taran said negotiations with the U.S. will happen in Islamabad beginning on Friday, although Israel's prime minister made it clear he's going to continue bombing Lebanon. Among them, Montreal beat Florida in a shootout. Ottawa beat Tampa Bay. But Calgary Edmonton and Vancouver all lost. Leaves host Washington tonight, 7.30.
