Now no watches or warnings for the Newmarket area, but Environment Canada issued a snow squall warning for parts of Simcoe County. Upwards of 30 centimeters is expected. Under the bands, visibility will be significantly reduced. So if you do have to drive, be careful. OPP say a series of crashes involving about 50 vehicles yesterday morning forced the closure of the 401 in both directions just east of Toronto. Minor injuries were reported. The weather gets the blame. York Police appealing to witnesses after a bank was robbed in Richmond Hill a couple of weeks ago. January 15th at about 2.20 in the afternoon, police were called to a bank near Young and Elgin Mills. The suspect described as a man, 5'9, medium build, black jacket, black pants, dark shoes, black took, black gloves, and a dinosaur scarf. Police are appealing to anybody who may have seen something or has dash cam footage of the area. Well, it was all over social media and certainly a lot of people felt it. that Earthquakes Canada recorded a magnitude 3.7 quake just before 11 last night, although the U.S. Geological Survey registered the quake at 4.1. It was centered in Orillia and the site's Did You Feel It link had about 2,200 reports of people feeling the rumble as far west as Kitchener and as far south as Niagara Falls.
