An OPP constable was killed yesterday in the line of duty in Northern Ontario. OPP say they were conducting an investigation near the town of Hurst at about 1230 in the afternoon when Constable Taron Bally was seriously injured and later died. He'd been with the service for 2 1/2 years. A massive barn fire early yesterday morning closed Vaughan Roads. According to YorkRegion.com, emergency crews called at about 1.30 in the morning to a blaze near Kirby and Weston. It appears an abandoned barn caught fire. No other details were known.
