York Police say a person is in custody as they search for a second in a commercial theft investigation in Richmond Hill. Police say 2 suspects attended a business at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon, tried to rob it and fled in two different vehicles. Police said one of them was involved in a collision. That person was arrested. A second suspect remains outstanding. they didn't do anything wrong. A new report from the OPP said there's no evidence 3 Toronto police officers lied, colluded, or committed any offense in the case of a man accused of fatally running over their colleague. After the officers testified, Justice Anne Malloy told jurors to consider the possibility of collusion between the officers, noting that all three had the same incorrect memory as what they said was contradicted by security footage. Solo drivers in Ontario may soon be able to use the HOV lanes during off-peak hours. The transport minister is proposing amendments saying modeling shows it would reduce travel times and ease gridlock, although the government hasn't decided what would count as an off-peak hour. and the province expanding tailgating rules beyond sporting events to allow people to bring their own alcohol. Starting this spring, organizers say farmers markets, art exhibits, movie screenings and neighborhood festivals can apply for BYOB permits.
