According to the Weather Network, we're expecting a longer, milder and drier than average fall. That's driven by El Nino. Forecasters are predicting a slow transition into winter. Federal government introduced a bill to extend the federal gas tax pause till the end of January. The liberals temporarily suspended the 10 centiliter excise tax April 14th after the US war caused global fuel prices to spike. The conservatives want the tax break extended even further and are calling on the government to also lift the GST from gas purchases. Five people facing charges after what police are calling a lengthy investigation into dark web drug trafficking. York Police said they seized over 5 kilos of fentanyl and 4.5 kilos of cocaine among other drugs. Police say five people from the GTA are facing charges. And this may have posed a problem cooking the turkey. Hydro One said they rescheduled a planned power outage that would have cut power to thousands of homes in York and Durham region on Thanksgiving Day. The outage was originally scheduled for four hours late in the morning, but that's no longer happening. Hot country sports in the WNBA, the Toronto Tempo lost to Chicago 97-85.
